Max Galaviz Sr. of Little Elm, Texas passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Medical City Denton. He was born February 5, 1937 to Joe and Virginia Galaviz in Corpus Christi, Texas. Maximiliano was married to Josephine Agado Galaviz.
Max was self-employed as an upholsterer from 1972-2017. He and his wife Josephine Galaviz were both co-founders of Casa Galaviz in Denton Texas. He became an ordained minister in 1987. His heart was pulled to serve in the Prison ministry, guest speaking in churches, and helping those in need. His hobbies were antique shopping at flea markets, shooting pool and socializing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Virginia Galaviz; his wife Josephine Agado Galaviz; and one daughter Alma Leticia Galaviz.
Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Home, 2025 W University Dr., Denton, Texas 76201. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 2 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately after the services at Oak Grove Cemetery in Aubrey Texas. Pallbearers will be Harley Gomez, Michael Velasco, Rene Perez, Rick Galaviz, Roy Galaviz and Scott Chaney.
